An Alternative Wedding Card

It is not the best photo in the world but this is a wedding card I made for my Son's friend, they are Goth's so I decided to make an alternative wedding card. Instead of the usual wedding white I used black and purple generally accepted as colours Goth's will like although red was my other choice. It says "Wishing You A Great Day". They are a lovely young couple with idea's for their wedding which were very different. Their wedding rings were brought to the couple during the service by an owl. I have met the beautiful Owl, it is a lovely Little Owl called Puck. Every guest was given a little sappling to keep and grow in their garden, my son is delighted with his it's a Scots Pine although I think it will be a few years before it reaches it's full height. My son tells me they were delighted with the card, he said it had something to do with it being black!

Wedding Card

This is a Wedding card I made for my son's friends wedding. I used the theme of the original wedding invitation which was a printed image of a pink rose tied with ribbon on a piece of lilac mulberry paper. For my own version I stamped the thistle and rose image on to lilac mulberry paper using a stamp from the Heritage Rubber Stamp Co then embossed in gold. I feathered the edges of the mulberry paper before sticking on to the background card and inked in gold around the edge. I added ribbon down the left hand side and tied on a pink rose. The card it self did look much better in real life!
Heritage Rubber Stamp Co can be found at Stampers Grove here in Edinburgh.
